Christmas Carol - WHILE SHEPHERDS WATCHED ….

While Shepherds watched their flocks by night
They had a wee surprise
An angel dressed in red appeared
T’was Santa in disguise!

‘’Fear not’’, said he, ‘’it’s only me -
Bet you thought you’d been missed,
But I gate-crashed at a party
And now I’m a little…..merry!’’

‘’Now Rudolph’s gone and let me down
E’s gone to a stag night
So I ‘ad to pull me sleigh meself
And it’s tricky when you’re tight!’’

‘Each time I gave a hiccup
I lost another gift;
And when I broke into a sneeze
Lord, you should see them shift!’’

‘The first chimney I went down
I ‘ad an awful fright -
They forgot that I was coming
And it was still alight!’

‘’I singed me boots, I singed me bum,
I even singed me beard 0
Then when I got up on the roof
Me sleigh ad disappeared!’’

‘’So now I’ve lost me sleigh, I’ve lost me gifts,
I’ve even lost me deer;
And as from now I’ve lost me job -
I’m unemployed next year!!’’

The shepherds stood in silence -
Pondering life’s little quirk;
They found a star to guide their way
But found Santa out of work.

And turning back from Bethlehem
They returned to watch their flocks
‘Cos all old Santa left them
Was some soap to wash their socks !!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY…….HO! HO! HO!

50

So, the Special Brew is on the shelf,
           My lover by the fire;
For now the man I’m holding
           Is my object of desire!

I’ve stocked up with HRT
   The cupboard’s full of gin;
    My motorbike is revving
     So I’ll take her for a spin!

Now, with Meatloaf on the CD
  (For I’m feeling pretty nifty!)
  I’m set to bop the night away
  For…..LIFE BEGINS AT FIFTY!!

And then when I was 50
My little stout friend
Told me I must forget him
And never ‘phone him again'
