Poems of 1995.
Dear Roger,
I really didn’t want to get you this
card
But I
just couldn’t resist it - though I tried very hard.
But
the one that you should have had was even worse
For it
merely had a ‘Welcome to you New Home verse’
And
although when you see this you may let out a groan
The
message is the same ‘WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME’

Thank you, my dear, for being so good
And beeing so cheerful as only you could
For coming in daily and showing constraint
As you heard of my ailments and many complaints
For showing an interest when I was real down
And doing my shopping without even a frown.
So now I've recovered from my dose of the flu
I'll show apreciation and give it to you.
A southern girl is so naive -
She wears her heart upon her sleeve.
But a Yorkshire man is full of shit -
One hint of love and he takes
frit!

C’est fionis!
It is the end.
No longer my lover
Not even my friend.

Nicholas
Ingram faced the chair
They shaved his leg and shaved his hair.
Then - just before they pulled the switch -
Postponed it for a legal hitch.
(It took place 26hrs later)..
